My husband has worked for various Cadillac dealerships around the valley for over 25 years. In April 2010 he was laid off after 15 years at the same dealership. Now he has even more time to take care of our grandson and to take pictures! You can see some of his work on our new website, Palo Verde Photo . It's been a lot of work, but it's something that we have wanted to do for some time. There is also a link on that page to another website of ours, Stock Photo Deals . Pretty cool, huh?
My man has an interesting knack of seeing a second life in other people's junk (and sometimes his own)! His website details a few of his past projects, like the "Qube" - a beautiful desktop case that looks like a piece of furniture; or our very own "Image Viewer" - made from an old laptop. And of course, he loves photography and his website shows off his favorite photos. Visit his website by clicking on the hyperlink, Thomas McEntire.
On May 14, 2005, after five years of higher education our daughter graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff with degrees in Music Education and Music Performance, and with honors -no less! You can view the pictures from her graduation at the link, Thea's Graduation from NAU . She has embarked on her teaching career with the Mesa Public School District and also performs with the Tempe Symphony Orchestra. Now she is married, owns a home, has an adorable son that was born in November 2008, and a couple of dogs. She used to maintain a website at Andante but I'm not sure she's had much time to keep it updated since college! Check it out and see what you find.
A friend of mine has a website showing the interior design and installation services that he and his wife offer. Click on the link to Leader by Design and see how they might transform your home!
When the temperature is under 100 degrees I like to go on weekend excursions with my husband. If you want to look at some pictures of the critters we "shoot" on these excursions, click on the link Ducks & Other Critters. If you ever want to get out of town and see some incredible scenery, lots and lots of critters, and get some exercise, check out the Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior. Of course, if you want to stay in town, there is always the Desert Botanical Garden, The Phoenix Zoo, and the Wildlife World Zoo. The Wildlife World Zoo has a new Aquarium building too. We haven't seen it yet, but it's on our list of places to visit this year! My husband and I highly recommend all of these places!
We recently joined the Maricopa Audubon Society. Check out their website to see what kinds of birds have been spotted in the valley lately!
I created a small memorial to 9-11. Many of the images have already circulated through the web over the years, but I needed to do something to vent my frustration and acknowledge the events and the victims - both passed on and still with us - of that day. It's not much, in retrospect, but click here to go to the Memorial page.
For access to the world's great artists and their work, visit the Web Gallery of Art or The Vincent van Gogh Gallery. The Web Gallery site allows you to browse the artwork by artist. You can also download the pictures from either site to your harddrive, if you so desire.
